How the healing process works

Why go with a Guide?

First time visitors travelling on their own to the John of God Casa (healing sanctuary) may feel unsettled when traveling in a foreign land, and unfamiliar with the protocols when arriving at the Casa. Upon arrival and throughout the healing sessions many questions normally arise. It is helpful and comforting to have the experience of a guide. You will also have the cohesive support of a group and the benefit of group sessions where we will share and do meditations. All Official Casa Guides have spent many hours at the Casa and have made multiple visits over a period of years. All travel and accommodation arrangements are made for you during your time in Brazil. Personal guidance and advice is given throughout each healing trip, as well any required follow up once you have returned home.

The Wednesday to Friday healing sessions

The Casa operates on the Wedneday, Thursday and Friday of each week .There are two healing sessions per day – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Access to the Casa is free.

Process at the Casa

Visitors to the Casa dress in white as this makes the person’s energy field more visible to the spirit beings that do the healing work through Joao. At the beginning of each healing session a spiritual “current” is generated by two groups of people in two different rooms.  The people in each room sit in a state of meditation and are made up of visitors seeking healing, as well as some volunteer mediums. New visitors stand in a line that takes them through the first current room, which provides an initial cleansing of the energy field. They then pass into the second current room which holds a stronger spiritual charge. At the head of the second current room they finally pass by Joao, where there is an exchange of words in regards to the healing being sought. The person is advised to either go and spend some time meditating in the current room, or to return at the next session for a healing procedure.

How your healing request is communicated to John of God

Before the opening of the healing session you will write down three things you want healing assistance with. You will then meet with an interpreter who will transcribe your request into Portuguese, and will give you the piece of paper that has the Portuguese information written on it. You will keep this piece of paper with you. When it comes to your turn, when standing in line to see John of God, one of the same interpreters will take your piece of paper and read it to John of God in Portuguese. John of God will reply in Portuguese, and the interpreter will tell you in English what instructions he has given for your healing. I will be with you in the line to make sure you are directed to an interpreter at the point when it is your turn to see John of God.

Healing procedures

Most healings are accomplished by “invisible” procedures.  The person receiving the healing sits in a meditation room with a group of up to fifty people, all of whom are to receive an invisible procedure. The process lasts about fifteen minutes, following which time everyone is advised to return to their hotel room to rest for 24 hours.

On very rare occasions physical surgeries are performed. No anesthetic is administered and there is very little blood loss. The person being operated on feels no pain and will often enter into a state of bliss and reassurance while the work is being performed. The wound is closed with far fewer stitches than would normally be needed, heals considerably quicker and leaves less scarring than normal.  There has never been one case of infection due to the immaculate pre and post cleansing - which occurs on a metaphysical level.

Surrogate healing

If a loved one or friend cannot make the trip, it is possible for you to go in their place to see John of God. You will need a photograph of the person you are standing in as a surrogate for, to bring with you. See details under Trip Information. It will be explained to John of God that you are the surrogate for the person back home, and you will present the picture to him. When you have a healing intervention on behalf of the other person you will place your hand on the picture during the procedure. You will then rest for 24 hours.

Levels of healing

Healing occurs on every level – physical, mental, emotional & spiritual. Every type of cancer has been treated as well as numerous other serious diseases and physical ailments. As a testament to the healing work there is a dedication room full of crutches and wheelchairs that have been left behind after visitors have been cured. Many experience unconditional love for the first time when at the Casa - resulting in the release of a lifelong carried sadness or other similar burden.  An increasing number of people are also making the trip to the Casa to experience spiritual growth and to gain new insights.

Sacred Waterfall

Part of the healing experience is a trip to the Sacred Waterfall in the valley just below the Casa.  Profound emotional and spiritual experiences are often reported while being immersed in the cascading waters. There are very special energies present in the lush green setting. A strong connection to nature is often also awakened.

Crystal Bed Therapy & Herbs

Crystal Bed Therapy is often prescribed during the visit. This is for rebalancing and to prepare the person for further healing .The session lasts 20 minutes and the person receiving the therapy lies underneath an overhead row of crystals that align with each of the chakra points on the body. Crystals are capable of transmitting energy and this is absorbed by the body during the treatment.

Herbs produced by the Casa are also prescribed. These are obtainable at the end of both the morning and afternoon sessions. The herbs are energetically blueprinted on a metaphysical level for your healing needs. The fee charged for the herbs is in the region of $30.

If you cannot make a trip I will take your photograph to present at the Casa. You will receive healing support from the spirit beings that work with John of God. See details under the Trip Information.

Before and after the trip

Many often report that a sense of connection can be felt even before they have reached Abadiania in the weeks prior to visiting John of God. Once visited, the connection to the Casa remains irrespective of where one is on the planet. The loving and supportive healing energy can be tangibly felt at various times when one is back at home. From a scientific perspective this works on the principle of non-locality within the quantum field.
